Use of a hard-coded cryptographic key to cipher sensitive data in FortiOS configuration backup file may allow an attacker with access to the backup file to decipher the sensitive data, via knowledge of the hard-coded key. The aforementioned sensitive data includes users' passwords (except the administrator's password), private keys' passphrases and High Availability password (when set).

El uso de una clave criptográfica embebida para cifrar datos confidenciales en el archivo de respaldo de configuración de FortiOS, puede permitir a un atacante con acceso al archivo de respaldo descifrar los datos confidenciales, por medio del conocimiento de la clave embebida. Los datos confidenciales mencionados anteriormente incluyen las contraseñas de los usuarios (excepto la contraseña del administrador), las frases de contraseña de las claves privadas y la contraseña de alta disponibilidad (cuando se establecen).
